Our 2026 Tour had to begin somewhere and Tanya and I decided to keep it a little closer to home as we headed to Moorhead to Junkyard Brewing company followed by Buffalo River State Park in Glyndon, Minnesota. Check out our podcast on our maiden voyage below!

Right in our backyard is Fill Thy Cup, a cute little coffee shop right on Highwqy 10 in Hawley. The coffee was the perfect way to get us going and we also had the homemade muffins which were yummy!
JUNKYARD BREWING COMPANY - MOORHEAD, MN
Started as a homebrew project, Junkyard Brewing Company in Moorhead, Minnesota sets the tone with an amazing chill taproom vibe, a wide variety of beer and a solid pizza menu.
Tanya and I are big into Sours so we went with the two on tap in the Beertopia Raspberry Daydream and the Saskatooner. You can find their full menu on their website here!
Junkyard also offers a pizza menu as well with a $9 happy hour special which is a pretty good value. The pizza's aren't your typical run of the mill pies either, We had the Cubano Italiano which was really good for brew food!
It was my first trip in and Tanya's second and we have this as a "return to" spot for sure based on its proximity and vibe. There is a patio for enjoying a summer evening. It is located off of a main road however so traffic noise will be in play.
BUFFALO RIVER STATE PARK - GLYNDON, MINNESOTA
Located just outside Glyndon, Minnesota, Buffalo River State Park gave us the perfect end to our day and to walk off the pizza and brew. The Park was established in 1937 during the Great Depression and at the time was the only state-owned recreational facility in the area.
There are 12 miles of hiking trails, which are easy to navigate with the flat terrain. making it a perfect outing for families and other humans of all ages. We hiked just under five miles during our time in the park under partly cloudy skies and temps in the 50s.
