Fall sure gives us one last epic view. What once started as a bud sprouting now changes color and hangs on for its remaining days. We love fall and everything it gives us. (Tanya is not a fan of what comes next, but we'll leave that for another post). We were a bit early two weeks ago when we hit the North Shore but we were right on the money on our trip to Door County. It's fascinating how you can picture something in your brain and I did that all weekend. I had the perfect picture in my mind and I just couldn't get it. It's not that I didn't enjoy what was in front of me, I did. It was just different. There is a lesson in that. How often in life do we look past what is in front of us waiting for something bigger or better to come along? On our drive back, we made a stop in Wassau. I had looked up "best views in Wassau" and it came up with Rib Mountain State Park.

The best way I can paint the picture of is from afar, the colors of leaves give off a patchwork quilt vibe. The hues of reds, oranges, yellows and greens are tremendous. We waited until the last day and that's when I found exactly what I was looking for. The rest of the weekend was grand as well, but to see exactly what we were looking for was awesome. We both agreed that our next trip to Door County would include a day trip to Rib Mountain. Check out our gallery of Fall Colors
