The Daily Three: Randy Moss

Randy Moss changed the game when he exploded on the scene in 1998. The star receiver from Marshall was passed up by 19 other teams (Cincinnati twice) before being selected by the Minnesota Vikings with the 21st pick. His highlights, epic. His imprint on the game, electric!
His cards are attainable but not as liquid as one might expect. What I found in researching Moss cards is that finding a card play (raw-to-grade) with a longer runway wasn't as easy as sending him on an 8.
Thanks to our friends at SportsCardsPro.com we found two decent plays and one sick looking card that has potential.
Let's get Mossed!
I'll start by saying that the three cards I picked out had eye appeal and raw are great plays. His other rookie cards are fine and you can get them, but lets be real. This is a Randy Moss rookie! Give me the show!! You can scoop this card for between $15 and $20. A gem 10 at PSA sells for just under $1,000 in comps but the truth is there is ONE sale back in 2021. You'll break even in a 9 and anything less, hold or put in your PC!
Many forget that Moss wore 18 before switching to his iconic 84 in purple. I love the look of this card and love the upside even more. This is the lowest risk play of the three as well. 2026 comps raw are all over the board (but what in the hobby isn't) between $30 and $50. Be strategic and don't go crazy! You'll still scoop chips in a 9 or 10. Similar to the above, there isn't a ton of movement and pop numbers are low. PSA shows a single 10 and 23-9's. A gem 10 will fetch between $850 and $1,000 and a 9, around $110.
All that glitters is gold and this card is electric! There are variations of this card but the Premium Gold out of 99 is eye candy! One sale for $15 back in 2023 so the comps aren't truly available. This card has huge upside however and is going to look sweet in a slab!
