Doug: Okay, before we start this, understand that people are probably going to disagree somewhat with our list or ranking of foods in said list. Tis' the season to keep things civil. Tanya, are you ready to unveil our top five Thanksgiving foods?
Tanya: I think so.
Number 5:
Tanya: Cranberry Sauce
Doug: Cranberry Sauce
Doug: Hey! We agree!!! Shocking!
Tanya: Of course we do. We are talking about fresh cranberries though right? Not the canned stuff that makes the sound when it slides out of the can?
Doug: Absolutely yes!
Number 4:
Tanya: Sweet Potatoes
Doug: Potatoes (mashed/sweet) & gravy
Tanya: Hey! We agree again! Two for two!
Doug: I lumped all potatoes together (just don't give me lumpy potatoes) and of course you've got to include the gravy.
Number 3:
Tanya: Turkey
Doug: Stuffing
Doug: Now is when it gets tricky. You could go any different direction here. I thought about turkey here as well. Spoiler, it's not my number one either.
Tanya: Hmmm. What could you possibly have as your number one if it isn't turkey based on your list?
Number 2:
Tanya: Lefse
Doug: Turkey
Tanya: Lefse is my number two here. It's such a Thanksgiving staple. If you don't have that as your number one, we're pulling your Norwegian card, Erlien.
Doug: Oh no! I totally forgot about lefse! Can I keep my card though? I'll make up for it with my top pick!
Tanya: We'll see.
Number 1:
Tanya: Stuffing
Doug: Pumpkin Pie
Tanya: Douglas. Really? Stuffing is the only REAL answer!
Doug: You know I'm a dessert guy! Give me that pumpkin pie! Okay, I think we both can agree that our honorable mention can maybe save this post?
Tanya: It better be my Jalapeno corn!
Doug: It absolutely is!
Tanya: Okay. You can keep your Norwegian card.
Doug: I actually like your list better than mine.
Tanya: Of course you do.
From our family to yours, may your Thanksgiving be filled with amazing memories created with those closest to you!
Cheers!
Tanya & Doug
