Next, we headed to Cascade River Park, In researching our destinations, this was one of our stops I was looking forward to the most. The pictures and description of the park was spot on. I had wondered how the water appeared brownish and how that would show up on video and pictures.
A sign was posted talking about why the water looks like Root Beer? The brown comes from the water that drains out of swamps and bogs into the river. It was one of the moments I looked at Tanya and said "we live in a science lab".

We didn't hike the Lookout Mountain Loop as the fog was fairly heavy but when we return, we'll make that part of our game plan for sure.

All told, we walked about 9,000 steps at Cascade, one of our most walked parks of the day.
