There are some iconic landmarks that you just need to see. From a Minnesota perspective, few landmarks are more iconic than the Split Rock Lighthouse. Completed in 1910, the lighthouse was constructed following a deadly November storm in 1905 that wrecked 30 ships. We had fog the morning we visited but the view was still spectacular. You are certainly able to take a tour of the lighthouse which costs additional. We decided to just take in the view and head to Tettegouche.
