Tettegouche State Park was if not our favorite park, tied for the lead. One of the amazing parts about the parks in Minnesota is how close you can get to nature. When I'm ranking my experience, I will always look at how integrated with everything I can be. Tettegouche checked every box for me. This is a park that you need to spend a whole day at to take it in. We made this part of our second day and the one regret we have is we could have used more time. We didn't rush in any way, but there is so much beauty to behold. The high falls were closed due to construction so we navigated down to the cascades. We also hiked to Lake Superior as well.

In addition to the High Falls, the cascades along the Baptism River give visitors vibrant views. The park also has miles and miles of hiking trails that give access to the park only by foot.
