On the heels of one of our latest trek up the North Shore, we thought it would be great to give you a high five! Our top five things we saw and experienced while visiting eight of Minnesota's best parks.
Number 5: Fall Colors

While it was a little early in the fall color change over, we did experience some of the best colors the state has to offer. The fog and clouds dampened a little of it, but the greens started changing to yellows and the orange and red hues stuck out to us wherever the were.
Number 4: Canal Park Brewing

We are never disappointed when stopping here. The food and overall vibe makes it a must stop destination in Canal Park and anywhere near Duluth.

Number 3: The Unknown

Sometimes the best plans aren't planned and as we have traveled we have found this to be true. Our visit and hike to George H. Crosby Manitou State Park gave us exactly that. The hike was difficult as we navigate rocks, tree branches and any other number of obstacles. We didn't expect such a challenge but after getting back to the car, were so glad we experienced it!
Number 2: Time Together

Okay, we know it's cheesy, but just follow us here. Getting time together in the car, on hikes, in restaurants is what life is all about. Getting to experience all of these things together will always be number one. (The only reason it's not on this list is because the photo gallery below sits on the bottom.) Cheers to your next great adventure!
Number 1: Waterfalls Who knew the state boasted so many waterfalls? They all tell a tremendous story and stand on their own as far as "wow factor".
